November 2, End of the Republic?
Geo. Washington was right to warn us against political parties. They tend to be a cancer that eventually devours the host. Political parties are about money and power. Elections and candidates are bought and sold like penny stocks, or the coming carbon credits.
Will the Republicans live up to their name? REPUBLIC.
It is doubtful. On the eve of the election, even the Constitutional hopefuls were warning the resurgence of patriot voters and candidates NOT to be pure in their devotion to the Constitution.
In the next few weeks, we will see the beginning of the end of the Republic as the power elites, through compromise, scramble to grab all the power they can before the new Congress is seated in January. In January, little will be done to undue the damages already inflicted.
Who will the power elites choose to run in 2012?

The End of Liberty in KS
All taxes are based upon economic activity, and liberals (Democrat and Republican)cannot seem to grasp the theory.
* Property taxes are falling because wages and ability to buy or maintain property is in a downward spiral.
* Retail taxes are falling because personal wages and jobs are in a downward spiral. Before one argues KS is not feeling the unemployment like the rest of the country, KS is. Unemployment is high, but lower than the national average, because workers are going where the jobs are. Companies are moving out of the state. People are crossing the borders to shop to save on costs. Gas is as much as 10 cents cheaper with a ten minute drive. No where do you spend 11 percent on taxes.
* With spending and taxes at their highest rates and schools failing at record levels, one third district candidate claiming to be a conservative has led the committee that has led the state down the road away from fiscal responsibility and state sovereignty toward statism and the California syndrome.
One tparty group claiming to be the "umbrella" under which the others are organized appears to be supporting the weakest candidate in an effort to assure a RINO is elected.
At best, we will have "no more moore" to chant in two years. At worst, we will have a RINO voting with the OBAMA machine continuing to claim he is a "blue dog."

Memorial Day - Lest We Forget
When I first boarded the USS Horne, DLG 30, and headed west out of San Diego during the Vietnam war, I was idealistic.
My father's ship was hit by a Kamikaze off Okinawa; my grandfather and his machine gun crew held a crucial Rhine River bridge stopping a German counter attack. My grandmother's uncles fought in the Civil War at Gettysburg and many other battles. Our family fought in the Revolution and the French and Indian War.
My wife has an uncle that never came home from Guadalcanal and her father carried shrapnel from his service there.
During my service, I boarded Russian and Chinese merchant ships, was an electronics warfare specialist on ships shadowing Russian submarines and service "intel" ships. In the 1990's, I saw service in Korea (the end of the armistice) and Kuwait (Operation Northern Watch). Since the nineties, I have seen service in Kuwait, and was disabled in the months after September 11.
In each of these deployments, people died serving their countries, to contain oppressive governments and to protect their liberties and freedoms. Service men and women were told they were sent to protect South Korea's border from North Korea; South Vietnam's border from North Vietnam; Kuwait's borders from Iraq; Kenya and Afghanistan's borders from terrorists organizations without borders. The problem in Afghanistan is drugs - opium, etc. That part of the world which has adopted an economy based on drugs and the violence of trafficking.
The idealism is still there. The ideal of protecting Liberty and Freedom are the only reason citizens should go to war, to send our men and women into harms way.
It is time to protect our border with Mexico - not from legal immigrants and Latino citizens, but from that part of the Mexico which has adopted an economy related to drugs and the violence of trafficking.
Twenty one people are murdered in the United States every day by illegal aliens from Mexico; Phoenix is the kidnap capital of the nation, but you don't care; the Kansas State Legislature does not care; the Kansas City City Council and Mayor does not care; Obama and Congress does not care. Over 3,200 US citizens have been killed in the United States this year alone by illegal alien murders bent on invading our homes, filling our streets with violent gangs, and our schools with illicit drugs from Mexico, South America, and Afghanistan.
Arizona cares - those protesting the Arizona law have not read it -for a reason. It tells law enforcement it must have probable cause, that they cannot profile. The protesters object to the parts of the law that holds the attorney general and employers accountable for hiring illegal aliens. The rancher shot and killed a few weeks ago, just miles from where I was born and spent a great deal of my childhood, was killed by a drug cartel murderer bent on revenge. The rancher had turned in an abandoned vehicle filled with drugs meant for US buyers. Eighteen other states care. Not you; not Kansas; not Kansas City.
Obama, H. Clinton, Pelosi, Feinstein, and others claim the drug cartels are armed with guns that came from the US. They are right! The State Department sold the guns to Mexico, and they sold/gave them to the drug cartels!!
You are to blame for three reasons - First, you lost your idealism. Careers, kids, grandchildren, leisure, and the "lake" replaced ideals and commitment to beliefs. Everyday in my classroom, I see kiddos who have no ideals. They see the drugs and the unrestrained gangs as the source of power and money. Idealism, is dead. Put up an American flag and your neighbors and co-workers will ridicule and torment you as naive and worse, a bigot or homophobe.
-Second, you stood by and did not walk your neighborhood and spread the word and message of liberty. "Never talk about politics or religion," we are told by those who will give up liberty and freedom for the sake of "getting along." My neighbors and family know exactly where I have served, why I have served, and my commitment to keep my oaths as a peace officer and sailor to defend and protect the Constitution. You would be surprised how many agree. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I keep my word and have little time for the Charletons that sugar-coat or say one thing and do another. Recently, I ticked off one person running for Senate, another for Congress and a perceived TParty leader. Each say one thing and do another.
-Third, we did something the Founders warned us against, we trusted those we elected and have given them too many rights and liberties, and power. They have used these non-Constitutional rights, liberties, and power to take ours.
I am guilty of all the above, until the Statist decided to take what little else I had.
We made a great income prior to September 11, then the bottom fell out when I was recalled and the company my wife worked for closed. It was two years after my injuries suffered after 9-11 allowed me to work and I returned to teaching after the financial services company eliminated my position upon my return from the Navy.
I have the honor of paying the Navy back $26,000 for injuries suffered at a check point, in order to get DAV benefits. With 22 years service, I was denied retirement benefits. Moore, Brownback, McCaskill, and Roberts each agreed on one thing - fixing this oversight was "not their area." Still it was not until Cap&Trade and Obamacare that we got involved.
We do not want sympathy or help - we are responsible for ourselves. Now we are resolved to throw out every rino and hypocrite who is not dedicated to individual liberty and the Constitution. We need to protect and defend every US citizen as an individual with individual rights - Blacks, Latinos, Native Americans, Asians, and those from all of the other cultures in the world. If we protect individual rights guaranteed in the Constitution, we protect everyone.
We need to follow Arizona and protect our borders. We need to protect Kansas jobs and our citizens through low taxes and limited government. We need to give our money, time, and talents to the hand full of candidates that pass the smell test and devour those who do not. There is only one rule now - the rule of Constitutional law.
We start by remembering those who are serving, those who have served, and those who have died in the service of saving, defending, and protecting the Constitution of the United States.

Obama Administration Crosses the Line
When he joins a foreign nation to condemn a sovereign state protecting itself from murdering illegal drug dealers from that foreign country; when that country refuses to secure its own border and calls for the US to ignore its boarder; Obama has failed to defend and protect the Constitution and the country from enemies foreign and domestic.
He has forced Obamacare against a majority; He is forcing companies to move overseas with Obamacap & Trade; He has made appointments and forced legislation in opposition to legislative rules and the Constitution's authority.
If the government refuses to recognize and obey the rule of Constitutional law, choices for Constitutional patriots are few. To save the republic, November's election must be taken seriously. Change must begin there, our economy and liberty are at stake. Vote with care.

The US Turned Upside Down
Schools send schools to compete in athletic events in China, but bar them from competing in Arizona;
Pelosi tells Catholic Bishops to preach Immigration from the pulpit, but the Constitution provides separation of the state from the Church;
H. Clinton says we must restrict gun ownership, but it is the guns the US government sold to Mexico that keep coming back.
Obama et al says it is about jobs, but every major legislation proposed cuts jobs and send industries overseas.
EITHER we have elected idiots, or we are the idiots by ignoring what the statists are trying to do.

Republican Hypocrites
Is there a potential for a governor veto to provide cover for liberal/Rhino Republicans to cast seemingly conservative votes?
Is there a change of personal direction in terms of political career or office?
Is there really a maturation process and commitment to the rule of the Constitution and Individual Rights?
hypocrite:
hypokritēs actor, hypocrite, from hypokrinesthai
1 : a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2 : a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings: Example: Rep Yoder, Republican, KS.
KS Republican Platform: Every innocent human life is sacred. Every human being, born or unborn, has an inalienable right to life which cannot be infringed. We believe life begins at conception. The Kansas Republican Party will lead our nation toward a culture that values life—the life of the elderly and sick, the life of the young, and the life of the unborn.
We examine one KS politician who seems typical of many Republicans who claim to be conservative, yet appear to support liberal and statist positions. All material below is from public sources.

Representative Yoder voted YES |
Read statements Representative Yoder made in this general time period. |
Vote to pass a bill that requires doctors to report on the necessity of each late-term abortion and allows civil action if an abortion is believed to have been performed illegally.
NOTE: THIS IS A SUBSTITUTED BILL, MEANING THE LANGUAGE OF THE ORIGINAL BILL HAS BEEN REPLACED.
House Sub. for SB 218 would revise current law regarding late-term abortions. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) would be required to adopt new forms as well as rules and regulations to collect certain information from physicians who perform abortions and to publish certain data annually.
In short - he was against it before he was for it. What changed? Two things: Assurance the bill would be vetoed and he would run for Congress.
Representative Kevin W. Yoder repeatedly refused to provide any responses to citizens on the issues through the 2008 Political Courage Test when asked to do so by national leaders of the political parties, prominent members of the media, Project Vote Smart President Richard Kimball, and Project Vote Smart staff.

Kansas - State of Crisis
One can look to the pulpits on Sunday to help identify the problem. "Faith and Works" is the sermon. In short, is what one believes and say say reflected in what one does? In short - are the votes cast in Topeka consistent with party affiliation and action?
Look at the Republican Platform:
Yet, KS has voted the largest spending budget and tax hikes in history in the middle of an economic crisis where businesses and people are fleeing the state and unemployment and failing schools are crushing communities.
Topeka has suppressed state sovereignty by voting for it in a non-binding resolution, then adopted Obamacare. see note below. They claim to be against tax hikes then vote them in when the public is not looking.
They have taken a page from John Kerry, "I was for it before I was against it."
Republicans continue to Tax and Spend with Democrats growing government 26% in the past three years and raising taxes 18% in 2010.
Topeka legislators continually take away individual rights to perform "fluff" for special interest groups and selective interest projects.
Republicans and Democrats continue to tax, spend, and grow government at an alarming rate.
Every innocent human life is sacred. Every human being, born or unborn, has an inalienable right to life which cannot be infringed. We believe life begins at conception.
Topeka continues to violate KS Law by ignoring late-term abortion laws and failing to
pass laws that force institutions to abide by existing laws. Kansas continues to allow
abortions after 22 weeks and is the leading abortion state in the US.

The Constitution Under Attack
The legislation also enacts a dramatic and unprecedented diminution in the individual liberty of citizens. It does so by mandating that all Americans buy a government-approved health care plan while redistributing wealth on a massive scale by promising annual federal insurance subsidies to all Americans who earn less than 400 percent of the poverty level, which is currently $88,200 for a family of four.
Attorney Generals from Virginia and South Carolina will both file law suits protecting the people of their States by challenging the federal government's overreaching action in passing and signing mandated health insurance on individuals.
Video
Claiming a statistical majority in the Senate and House allows Democrats to "make the rules as we go," the legislation ignores congressional rules and the Constitution. The health reform legislation mandates citizens to purchase and states to manage health insurance under a combination of the commerce clause and a "we can do whatever we want" attitude of Democrats.
The commerce clause does not apply because federal law prohibits and continues to prohibit buying insurance across state lines - interstate commerce.
How did we get here?
The Republican Party lacks principles and integrity!
Rhinos support Democrat policies and principles and are frequently former Democrats who "bought" the Republican label. They vote for expanded state and federal centralization of power, abortion, and vote for tax and spend policies. They are not liberals. Liberalism today means, through Democrat actions, to destroy and work around the Constitution.
Liberals are traditionally against strong federalism and place the Constitution as the benchmark to their liberalism. The Constitution was founded and is a product of "classical liberalism." Any government mandates, abortion (in the health reform legislation), purchases of commercial goods and services are not sanctioned under the Constitution.
Republicans can be liberals without violating the conservative and constitutional principles the party has developed as their platform. There are no punitive actions against Republican candidates and office holders who routinely violate the platform planks.
For decades, when in power and when out of power, Republicans have continually worked across party lines to support statist and unconstitutional spending and mandates on citizens and states. The question is, "Can Republicans be trusted to find their roots" when it comes to the Constitution, classical liberalism, and modern conservativism?

Why America’s Parents Need Greater Choice in Education
where to live: They choose places where their children can attend good schools. Consequently, families who can afford higher housing costs gravitate toward neighborhoods with higher-quality schools.
Because lower-income families can’t afford that choice, they have little power to decide where their children will go to school. They have to settle for whatever school government assigns, regardless of whether it is safe or effective. As a result, we essentially have two education systems—one for families who can afford to live near good public schools or pay for private school (after paying taxes to support public schools) and the other for families who can’t afford to choose where they live.
Slowly but surely, this is starting to change. In recent decades, more states and communities have adopted policies that let families choose the best school for their children—no matter where they live. School choice is expanding the horizons of tens of thousands of students. Soon it should be the reality for all American students.
